  • SWORN TRANSLATION<\/b>: also known as \u201ccertified translation\u201d in Italy. A translation is \u201csworn\u201d by a professional translator in court. A sworn translation makes a translated text legally official, exactly like the original document (e.g. birth certificates, marriage certificates, CVs, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • BIDULE<\/b>: guided tour system composed of a microphone for the speaker, one for the interpreter and a sufficient number of headphones to cover the number of listeners (for the translation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • BOOTH<\/b>: sound-proof structure where the interpreters\u2019 team works. It is equipped with an audio system to receive the speaker\/s input and to send the translation into the listeners\u2019 headphones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • CHUCHOTAGE<\/b> (from the French word chuchoter, to whisper) or whispered interpreting, is another version of simultaneous interpreting and it\u2019s used when no booth is required\/available. The interpreter whispers the translation in his\/her listener\u2019s or – necessarily few \u2013 listeners\u2019 ears.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • CONTENT CURATION<\/b>: searching, analysing and selecting online and offline contents in a foreing language on a specific subject, brand or company, in order to publish\/sharing them on the web to communicate and strengthen brand identity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • EDITING<\/b>: if compared to proofreading, editing involves a more invasive manipulation of the translated text in order to make it more effective for the user in terms of style and tone of voice<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • INTERPRETER<\/b>: whereas the translator is \u201cinvisible\u201d, the interpreter is \u201cvisible\u201d and his work consists in making communication immediate, as he\/she identifies his\/herself with the speaker and conveys his\/her ideas and messages with the same intensity and nuances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • CONFERENCE INTERPRETING<\/b>: it can be carried out in three different ways:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  1. CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING<\/b>: the interpreter takes notes during the speech and delivers it consecutively in the target language.<\/li>\n
                  2. SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING<\/b>: two interpreters work in a sound-proof booth. The speaker speaks into the microphone and the interpreter (listening with headphones) delivers the speech almost simultaneously in another language.<\/li>\n
                  3. B2B OR LIAISON INTERPRETING<\/b>: for business meetings, negotiations or guided tours where the interpreter translates consecutively what two speakers speaking different language say to each other. In this case no equipment is required for the interpreter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                      \n
                    • LANGUAGE CLASSES<\/b>: individual or group language classes.<\/li>\n
                    • LOCALIZATION<\/b>: the process of adapting a translated text to linguistic and cultural requirements of a specific market or target group (hence the notion of \u201clocal\u201d).<\/li>\n
                    • RELAY:<\/b> when a delegate speaks in a language not covered by an interpreter in an active language booth, this booth can “connect” to another booth that does cover this language and “take the relay” of that. In other words, the interpreter works via another language.<\/li>\n
                    • PROOFREADING<\/b>: reading the translated text in order to find any possible grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation or style mistakes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      • SALES DEPARTMENT SUPPORT<\/b>: language and communication assistance to strengthen your company\u2019s foreign market sales. This also includes the services mentioned the Service page and some specific services, such as translating email, documents, manuals, marketing materials, translation during conference calls and foreign representatives\u2019 visits, factory tours, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        • TRANSLATING, TRANSLATION<\/b>: means, in general, transferring what has been written or said from a source language into a target language. More specifically, translation differs from interpreting, as it consists in transferring a written text into another language, whereas interpreting means translating a speech.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
