Yes, Switch2.it is not yet of age, but… ‘it has a certain age’, as they say.<\/p>\n
On this day, 1 March, 10 years ago, I opened my VAT number and entered the wonderful world of freelancing (a cross and a joy, to quote Verdi).<\/p>\n
Today, 10 years ago, I started working as an interpreter and translator, a profession that I still love.<\/p>\n
Today, 10 years ago, I did not know that this job would be so demanding, sometimes difficult and frightening, but above all beautiful, exciting, adrenaline-filled, passionate, full of satisfaction and unforgettable experiences!<\/p>\n
Today, 10 years ago, I met the people who made me who I am. People who believed in me, in my immature talent, in my potential.<\/p>\n
I will never cease to be grateful to those who have shared these 10 years with me, in the most intense moments and in the ‘lighter’ ones.<\/p>\n
(I must also mention the people who did not support me, who did not believe in me, because it was also thanks to them that I was able to learn, to improve, to grow).<\/p>\n
I will never be able to thank those people enough for still believing in me, so really: thank you!<\/p>\n
Ten years is just a small step in the journey, but in 10 years a lot has happened, big changes on a professional and personal level \ud83d\ude42 Nearly a thousand days of interpreting, thousands of files translated, hundreds of people met, millions of words studied, spoken into a microphone, written on a keyboard, jotted down on a piece of paper or on an iPad, listened to through headphones… and all that, a wedding and three daughters, experiences that have given me the strength and the will to be the best I can be and that continue to drive me today.<\/p>\n
Ten years is an important number that invites you to pause for a moment and look back on all that has been, all that has not been, and that urges me to wish for great things in the years to come.<\/p>\n
Ten years is not a lifetime, but the beginning of a great experience!<\/p>\n
Thanks to those who are with me today, those who have been there and those who will be there!<\/p>\n
